Filis tiene 10 años, y es un ser nacido entre la union espiritual de dos seres malignos, su padre, la muerte, y su madre una fantasma, llamada Beatriz.
Filis tiene 10 años de edad, en los cuales ha vivido en el inframundo, y asistido a una escuela de demonios la cual tiene como proposito, hacer que los humanos atenten contra sus vidas y de otros. Su mejor amiga es Robin, y van en la misma clase y concluyendo el ultimo año de su escuela, donde le piden como trabajo final, hacer una tesis, hacerca del comportamiento humano, pero a la vez su padre (La Muerte) sufre una gran depresion a causa del recuerdo de que solo alguien fue capaz de vencerla, entonces filis debe tomar la oz y desempeñar el trabajo de su padre, aunado con su tarea de fin de año, lo que la llevara a subir a vivir al mundo de los humanos a los cuales odia por "estupidos" y se metera a un colegio para observarlos de cerca.
Pero tambien aprendera del espiritu humano dividido en tres partes, inteligencia, creatividad y sentimientos.
